Ramblings of a crazy lady

So I think I just have bad luck. The roofers did not show up and I had 3 people at my house and a Bobcat. I had to be in Calgary that day so I made sure I had back-up people there just in case. *sigh*. I don't think I am supposed to get a new roof.

Spent the Saturday cleaning the house and doing errands.... and I did manage to get the new bears up on Etsy. Sunday I went out to my parents and helped install more cabinets. I'd like to say that is almost done.. but a couple don't fit right so they have to be made again.

I spend Sunday evening on the couch.. it's the first rest I've had in a long time... I just felt icky and could not get warm... But Ghost and Mouse were happy that I was "sitting material" and used me as a place to nap... 40lb's of warm cats helps keep that chill off you! heehee!

So next on my list is making a few xmas ornaments and I want to start decorating the house. It's a bit early but if I start slowly now... I might acutally get there.

running around in circles.

Well, I've not been writing much because I've had nothing very interesting to say.... but since things have not gotten much better I will just check in anyway! lol.

I need a vacation.. I am exhausted... it's not going to happen though! lol. I spent the weekend assisting in the installation of the cabinets for my parents kitchen.. they look awesome but we still need another weekend of work there to get it totally done.

Tomorrow, I've finally got someone to do the roof on the house. At least that will be one thing off my plate... as long as they actually show up and do it. I have tomorrow off due to Remembrance day but I have to go to Calgary so that is pretty much a write off day. 6hrs on a long boring road. Blech. At least I don't have to make the trip alone as my Brother and his g/f are going to come with me... I really don't want to drive that far alone.... the big sissy I am.. heehee.

In 2-3 weeks the new floor is going into the upstairs bedroom.. I hope! Seems every time we try to tackle something things go wrong. It's picked out though, it just needs to be ordered and then installed and the closest has to be painted and finished. XX <-- crossing fingers. It has been dragging out forever it would seem.. but will be SO worth it! I've still not had time to get the new bears up for sale.. I have photos of all the minis done. I just need an hour or so to actually get the photos uploaded. Unfortunately I've not had ANY spare time the past month it seems. I really hope things get a little easier soon as I am worn out. I need a break! I want to sew, take some photos or go out shopping one day. *insert pout*

Well I better get back to work here.. I wanted to leave you with a photo of the latest Chinchilla baby that was born here.. but it won't upload so I will have to do it another time.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everybody... I believe it was our most horrible yet! lol.

Had a very hectic day today. Between visiting and getting the house ready.. I am exhausted! I dressed up as Alice Cullen and had a total blast scaring the pants off the kiddies.

I will post some videos next. I can't get them to upload on facebook so I will do it here. lol.

What else is new here.... um, I had a sweet baby chin born last week. Just in time for my birthday. My birthday was fun and I got lots of awesome stuff. I even got a new computer! yay!

I took a few photos of a new mini dragon and a few miniature bears last week.. I just need a couple hours to sit and upload photos! lol. I promise it will be soon :)

Thanksgiving or Christmas?

So we already have winter here..... I am not pleased as my Dahlia bulbs are still under the ground so now I have to go dig them up in the snow... AND I can't put out my huge Halloween display outside because the snow will ruin my props. I am just hoping we get a little heat wave and it melts! lol.

I've taken a few days off, well not off work as that has been pretty steady... but some days off from running around like a chicken with no head. I have been mentally and physically exhausted from trying to do everything. The shows totally burned me out and I remember about 8 years ago when I took a break from them.... I now remember why. When life gets so busy that you don't have time to sew... trying to get ready for 2 shows in 2 months is not the best plan. You can't work 24/7 without being burned out... well I can't anyway :) lol.

The funny thing is after taking a week off I want to sew again! lol. Unfortunately my house looks like a bomb hit it. Today I will be cleaning it, digging up my bulbs and spending some time with the chins.



Yesterday my brother and his g/f went to see Zombie Land, it was an awesome movie! I laughed harder than I have laughed in a long time. I can't wait till it comes out on DVD. :)

Speaking of DVD's, the long awaited Trick 'R Treat movie was finally released to DVD on Tuesday. Why this movie did not get theatrical release is beyond me. It was FANTASTIC! Everything a horror movie SHOULD be. Without being so shocking or so horrible that you don't want to look... or having it bother you for days, like most of the new "horror" movies do to me now. Trick 'R Treat was funny and scary and had twists you were not expecting.. and best of all it circled around Halloween. It is an instant Halloween classic. Go buy yourself a copy.. lol.

Well time to bundle up and go dig in the dirt! lol. Hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving!
